Getting the healthy food you need can become more difficult as the years go by. The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) provides nutritious food resources to supplement nutritional needs to income eligible adults over 60 in Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties.
Seniors pick up pre-packaged boxes once a month at one of our established Resource Centers across southern New Hampshire including Manchester and Nashua, at one of our satellite sites, or residents of participating housing communities may pick up from that housing delivery drop-site.
Types of food in CSFP packages will vary each month but will include a combination of the following:
- Canned meat: beef, chicken, pork, or tuna
- Canned fruit: peaches, pears, etc.
- Canned vegetables: carrots, corn, etc.
- Bottled fruit juices: orange juice, apple juice, etc.
- Non-fat powdered milk
- Cereals Macaroni, spaghetti, rice, or dehydrated potatoes
- Peanut butter and other protein sources
- Cheese
- Other foods when available
