We are looking for a part-time Summer Food Service Program workers in Manchester, Nashua and Newmarket! The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) keeps kids connected to healthy foods and nutritious meals over the summer months when school lunch programs are not available.

We have opportunities for both experienced food service veterans and entry-level food service rookies.


 

SFSP Kitchen Technicians

Ideal for teachers, parents and students with 6+ months of food service experience ages 18+

As an SFSP Kitchen Technician, you will be responsible for planning weekly menus, ordering foods, prepping and serving meals to families at one of our sites roughly 20hrs/week for 12 weeks. Training will be provided based for regulations and expectations on the job prior to starting. This is the perfect part-time summer job making a big impact in the lives of your community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan weekly menus according to USDA and SNHS standards
  • Prepare all meals including breakfasts, lunches and dinners based on number of families to serve
  • Manage, order and maintain food inventory and kitchen equipment to proper quality and cleanliness standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Must have a minimum of 6-12 months experience in food service and knowledge of basic kitchen and food preparation skills
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift items up to 50 pounds

SFSP Workers

Ideal for teachers, parents and students with zero or limited food service experience ages 16+

As an SFSP Worker, your primary role is to pack and serve meals to families at one of our sites roughly 20hrs/week for 12 weeks. Training will be provided based for regulations and expectations on the job prior to starting. This is the perfect part-time summer job making a big impact in the lives of your community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Transport food and coolers to food sites and assist with serving meals to families
  • Assist with any preparation, cleanup, keeping the kitchen clean and deliveries organized
  • Verify meal counts in the coolers before starting each meal to ensure the proper amount are present
  • Track meals on daily meal count sheet and record temperatures of food storage equipment
  • Serve meals to families and children as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift items up to 50 pounds
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License, proof of Insurance and a vehicle with space to transport large coolers
