The incumbent of this position is responsible for: Provides eligible adults with professional career counseling and access to a wide range of employment and training related services for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult program leading to successful employment outcomes and job retention. Assists participants with program orientation, intake/enrollment activities, assessments (vocational assessments, job market outlook, etc.), creating an Individual Employment Plan (IEP), counseling/case management/job placement services, training activities, support service activities, and closure/exit procedures. Provides information about and linkage to the full range of services available through WIOA and other NH Works programs. Creates and provides tuition assistance and support services vouchers to participants in order to help eliminate barriers to employment or training. This position is located in the NH Works job center in Concord, NH.
SUPERVISION: Supervision will be provided by Statewide Program Manager and general supervision from the Director of Workforce Development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts customer orientation, intake, and eligibility determination.
- Provides a full assessment of customers’ skills, aptitudes and barriers using a variety of tools and tests.
- Work with participants on the development of an Individual Employment Plan (IEP) based upon customer’s unique skills, interests, needs, and abilities.
- Provide individualized Job Placement assistance.
- Provide ongoing career counseling and case management services ensuring regular contact at a minimum of every 30 days.
- Conduct client-tracking functions including timely and accurate on-going data entry of customer information into the case management system.
- Maintain contact and provide follow-up activities for all exited participants.
- Attend regional outreach events as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by Statewide Program Manager
- Will maintain professional boundaries with all current, past and prospective participants, and maintain the confidentiality of clients and staff in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Will abide by all CAPHR Safety policies and procedures.
- Will present professional and positive image as a representative of CAPHR.
- Responsible for having adequate knowledge of all local CAPHR programs and will gather sufficient intake information to make referrals to other CAPHR programs which are beneficial to the client and his/her family.

- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel when needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Education, Business Administration, or other related field is a plus. Minimum of two (2) years of professional work experience employment counseling, case management, customer service, human services, or other related field is required. A combination of education and experience that demonstrates an ability to fulfill the duties will also be considered.
