EDUCATION SERVICES

  • English for New Americans (ENA)
    • Practical English classes for living and working in the community as well as citizenship classes for new Americans.
  • T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Scholarships
    • Access to affordable continued education for Early Childhood Educators seeking Associate Degrees and/or Child Development Associate (CDA) Credentials™ through contracts with employers.
  • Early Childhood Apprenticeship Program
    • Hands-on experience for new Early Childhood Educators providing college credit, a recognized apprenticeship, increased earning potential and compensation upon completion.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT

  • Head Start & Early Head Start
    • Child care programming designed for infants, toddlers and pre-school children to prepare for success in and beyond school while also developing a deeper connection between parents/guardians and their child's development.
  • Child Care Services
    • Full and Extended Day Child Care services for infants, toddlers and pre-school children which may be used in partnership with Head Start & Early Head Start.

HEALTH FOOD & NUTRITION

  • Women, Infants & Children (WIC)
    • Nutrition education, support and nutritious food access for pregnant women, new mothers, infants and preschool children to stay healthy and strong.
  • Hillsborough County Community Gardens
    • Garden plots made available at low- or no-cost to residents of Hillsborough County to grow their own nutritious foods.
  • Summer Food Service Program
    • Daily free or reduced lunches provided nutritious meals during the summer months for children 18 years of age or younger.
  • Rockingham County Food Pantries
    • Access to shelf stable food, frozen meats and household & hygiene products to prevent food insecurity.
  • Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
    • Reimbursement for the cost of meals served at Family Child Care Homes, Child Care Centers, adult Care Centers, Homeless Shelters and At-Risk Programs to each program or center.
  • Senior Food Program (CSFP)
    • Pre-packaged supplemental food boxes designed to provide for the nutritional needs of seniors 60 or better.
  • Emergency Food Assistance (TEFAP)
    • Access to emergency food assistance at no cost through food pantries, homeless shelters, soup kitchens and non-profit organizations.

    • Volunteer opportunities for adults 55 or better to provide meaningful services to those in need as part of a growing and supportive community.

    • Supportive housing for income-eligible elderly residents throughout the state of New Hampshire.

    • Housing opportunities, safety and support for those facing eviction or in need of housing including assistance in maintaining housing stability going forward.
  • Western Hillsborough County Family Services
    • Assistance for residents of Western Hillsborough County including access to nutritious meals, education, adult literacy, family support, rental assistance and more.
  • Rural Transportation
    • Safe & reliable transportation for everyday needs such as groceries, appointments and seasonal outings for seniors and disabled adults in Hillsborough County.

ENERGY ASSISTANCE

  • Fuel Assistance (FAP)
    • Financial assistance for heating fuel expenses to keep both renters and owners safe and warm through the colder months.
  • Electric Energy Assistance (EAP)
    • Discounts for eligible electric utility customers to make monthly electric bills more affordable and to avoid service interruption.
  • Weatherization (WAP)
    • Energy audits of rented or owned homes to provide no-cost updates for better efficiency and reduced energy costs.
